Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the city endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes succeed nights of air raids in the region, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

He said utility staff and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
