Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Police mentioned they were contacted by a man who noticed a car in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.

Officers say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Officers then discovered multiple other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say early analysis show the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to its source; investigators are presently not aware of any harm in association with the event," they commented.

City officials stated they were working "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for details.

An important official stated the incident left him without words and had to be solved promptly.

"This incident hits the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, recalling the death of nine people by a gunman focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
